Tail - black marabou with spigs of krystal flash
Body - peacock herl

Comment - A great steelhead and
salmon fly summer, fall, and spring. It can
represent the large Pternarcy Stonefly that is active in
many of Michigan streams. Although salmon do not
actively feed when they enter streams, they still will
take nymphs going through their beds either out of
curiosity, instinct, or aggression. Steelhead seem
to go for the blue krystal flash while salmon like red
and chartreuse. Blue is also a good color for
kings, however fish these in the runs and pools for fall
steelheads with an egg fly dropper. Thanks to
Robert Kovich for this fly.
