Fished downstream of 9 mile road again.  There are many places in the national forest on the north side of the river here to pull off and get access to the river.  The dirt two- track on the north side off Udell Hills road is posted as "private, no trespassing", however it is a public two track and once the private property is passed, there is a lot of public land.  Since the storm waters were still running off, I tried the wooly bugger again and had a couple of strikes but no hook-ups.

Fished downstream of 9 mile road.  This is a beautiful section of water.  The current can be tricky to wade in places so you have to be careful.  Had no action until 7:30 when a nasty thunderstorm rolled in and I had to get off the water.  After the weather broke I put on a black wooly bugger and had several strikes but was unable to hook any of them.

Fished near Indian bridge on flies only section.  Not much hatching, not much rising.  Tried small blue olives and managed to hook a few small fingerlings.  A nice night anyway with some welcome cooling after a scorching day.
