| The Paint Creek
Valley is just north of downtown Rochester, MI. As a matter of fact good trout
fishing can be had at the city park in downtown Rochester.
Access can also be gained from a number of roads crossing
the creek at right angles off of Orion Rd. The Paint Creek trail parallels the
creek for much of its length up to Lake Orion. Not only is it a good place to ride a
mountain bike or go jogging, it provides lots of access points to the creek that wouldn't
otherwise exist.
Trout Unlimited through The Clinton Valley Chapter has been active
in improving this fishery. The CVTU chapter is always looking for new members.

The trout stocking numbers can be seen at The Michigan DNR website. This steam has been
stocked for years by the DNR with large numbers of fish.

Hare's Ear, and Zug Bugs. The patterns can be found in the outstanding American

the left.
